Beekeeping For Beginners (SCC)

Description

This course runs throughout the entire year, covering everything a beginning beekeeper should know before getting beehives in the spring. You will get hands on activities with hives, be able to ask experienced beekeepers questions, and even learn how to extract honey! Two hours per session once per month will get you close to completing all of your prerequisites for finishing Apprentice level training in the Great Plains Master Beekeeping program. Taking this course will also certify 6 hours of Field Training.
