Description
This workshop, designed for beekeepers with at least one year of experience, focuses on diagnosing and addressing pests, diseases, and management challenges that affect colony health and productivity. Participants will learn to identify signs of varroa mites, brood diseases, queen problems, poor nutrition, and other factors contributing to hive decline. The session will include practical insights on hive necropsy and troubleshooting common hive health issues.
Session 1 (Lectures and Demos): Saturday, February 22nd, 2025 (9 am - 4 pm CST) at UNL East Campus Union, Prairie Room B-C.
Cost: $60 per person, includes lecture slides, equipment catalogs, all season Marion Mouseguard. 15% off for additional family members and/or students with valid ID (must attach picture upon registration). Registration covers, a beehive always-in mouseguard, beekeeping supply catalogs, and more!
